The band was originally started by 16 year old multi-instrumentalist Samu Ortiga in 2017. Initially intended as a solo project (at first under the name of “Sin”), it later evolved into a full-on group, switching the name to “Sin In The Flesh”. The self-titled album “Sin” was released later that year, delivering 11 rock n’ roll-infused tracks.
Well received by the press in Spain and US, “Sin” won “Best Rock Album” in the Clouzine Music Awards (Beverly Hills) and TAP Music Awards (Madrid). The single “Hoochie Koochie Woman: was nominated at the prestigious Hollywood Music In Media Awards 2017 in Los Angeles, California (NB, the same edition included artists the caliber of Elton John, Jack White, Taylor Swift and Pharrel Williams, to name a few).
The band’s musical direction changed in 2018 with Sheer Acoustic, a completely acoustic release that opened unexpected doors for SITF.
Throw AC/DC, Black Sabbath, The Stooges, The Beatles, Oasis and The Rolling Stones into a blender, combined with a contemporary sense of songwriting and you’ll get a taste of the “Sin In The Flesh” smoothie.
In the meantime, the road as well as the experiences that only a life in pursuit of the rock and roll dream can yield have inspired what may be Sin In The Flesh’s most ambitious album yet.
