Italian metal outfit Scum have recently dropped their new video and single “Sons of Hatred”, taken from their full-length “Humana” (released via Sliptrick Records).
Initially established in 1998 as a thrash metal cover band in Tuscany’s scenic town of Grosseto (Italy), the band soon became one of the most respected extreme metal bands in the local underground scene.
Boasting influences such as Testament, Pantera and Machine Head (to name a few), Scum were eventually able to craft their own sound, alternating straightfoward, fast-paced riffs – reminiscent of “The Big Four” – with heavier, groovy mid-tempos à la Meshuggah, Gojira and Nevermore. The band has recently shared the stage with thrash metal giants Annihilator in Russia (powered by Go Loud Agency), and are expected to embark on a European tour in the nearest future.
