We’re happy to announce that Albania’s best kept secret, Crossbones, will play three exclusive shows in Ukraine for the first time ever. Here are the dates:
19.04 | Kiev (UA) | DK Rostok
20.04 | Dnipro (UA) | RK Club
21.04 | Krivoy Rog (UA) | Madisan
Not only is Crossbones the only band to have made it outside of Albania, it is also the most longevous: Ever since the mid 90’s, the band has kept soldiering on, thus allowing them to build a considerable fanbase in their homeland. Among countless gigs and performances (Italy, Latvia, Estonia, Greece, to name a few), the band has shared the stage with huge acts from both sides of the spectrum, from Ian Paice (for those who don’t know, he is none other than the legendary drummer of Deep Purple) all the way to Greek Black Metal legends Rotting Christ.
Their latest album WWIII – released worldwide in 2017 and mixed and mastered at Nadir Music Studios by the legendary Tommy Talamanca (Sadist) – combines elements of American thrash metal with the darker sounds of East European music. The result is a robust, yet melodic album intended to punch the listener in the face, whilst allowing him to sing along. Furthermore, the use of English and Albanian lyrics definitely makes “WWIII” one of the most interesting releases within the post-thrash metal genre.
Crossbones are: Olsi Ballta (Vocals) | Theo Napoloni (Drums) | Ben Turku (Guitars)
